Detailed and Professional Publication of Olim Beyahad's Program Model

Project Background/Need:

Since its establishment in 2007, Olim Beyahad has succeeded in integrating approximately 300 Ethiopian Israeli university graduates in compatible jobs at the forefront of Israel's workforce. In addition, the organization has succeeded in recruiting approximately 1,500 volunteers who are involved in various areas of the organization's operations and work to accomplish its mission, including several hundred senior figures holding leading positions in Israel's economy. This is an unbelievable advancement for the Ethiopian Israeli community as a whole – in 2006 (before Olim Beyahad was established), only 23 out of 4,500 Ethiopian Israeli university graduates were employed in jobs compatible with their high level of education, meaning that this number has grown by more than 1,100%! Due to our accomplishments, we have been recognized by the government as the only organization capable of providing employment-related training and placement services to the target population.

Olim Beyahad's success is a product of the unique and innovative model established by the organization, and we have been asked by numerous organizations and bodies to adapt this model and apply it to other weakened sectors that struggle with unemployment and poor social integration. We have therefore decided to compose a detailed and professional publication describing our model, which will enable others to apply the model to additional target populations.

Target Population:

Additional non-profit organizations or bodies that work with weakened sectors that struggle with unemployment and poor social integration.

 Goals:

• To clearly define and record Olim Beyahad's model so that it may be copied to additional disadvantaged target populations.
• To assist additional organizations and bodies in applying our model to the target populations with which they work.
• To help additional weakened sectors become integrated into society by gaining quality employment.

Following the completion of the project, Olim Beyahad  provides consultations and guidance to other organizations and bodies that are interested in applying the model to their target populations. These consultations are carried out for a fee, which will also enable the organization to generate self income.
